How does the money get to Doctors Without Borders?
All money goes through Tiltify, a service recommended by Doctors Without Borders for running fundraisers. No one involved in organizing the Holiday Snowtacular is touching any money. 100% of the money from viewers and companies is put into the Tiltify page and passed along to the charity.
Why Doctors Without Borders and not [insert other charity here]?
There are so many worthy charities and causes that this was a tough decision.
One important criteria was that the charity would benefit many people around the world, and not be focused on one country. Doctors Without Borders helps in over 70 countries in places where healthcare is needed most. Just as our web development communities are global, we wanted our impact to be global as well.
